Thatch is made by the Japanese when they have wheat. It is a building material for the roofs of japanese buildings and is availble from any japanese main building. The player has to have "Friend of the Village" status.

Thatch cannot be made by players only the japanese can make it. Thatch is made by the village women and 5 thatch is made from one wheat.
