All the Nether Ores! Coal, Tin, Lapis Lazuli, Diamond, Iron, Copper, Redstone, and Gold.
Nether Ores is a mod that adds valuable resources to the nether; however, they can be quite dangerous to acquire. Note that no matter the Nether Ore, you will always get that Ore as a block, and it will not yeild an item. Also, you must smelt the Nether Ore into a normal Ore, then smelt that normal Ore into the actual item (this applies for ALL Ores mined from the Nether).
Challenges[]
Besides the naturally harsh conditions of the nether, there are even more challenges to mining nether ores:
- Zombie Pigmen will attack you after you have mined these ores, even if they didn't see you do it. You can make them stop by turning the difficulty to peaceful and then back again.
- On occasion, nether ores will explode when mined. If, after mining a neighboring ore, you here the tnt sound, move away quickly. This can cause a chain reaction. Do not attempt to mine the ore in question. It will give you what it says is tin ore, but is unusable and cannot be stacked with actual nether tin ore. The explosion will occur regardless. The ores will never explode if mined with a mining laser.
- Some nether ores are hard to see. This is intentional to add to the challenge.

Note: With Nether copper and tin ore you can place the regular ores you get out of the macerator back in to get a total of 4 copper and tin dust per Nether ore.
Methods[]
For quick navigation around the nether you will probably need an Electric Jetpack or a Swiftwolf's Rending Gale. This makes it easier to find surface ores. Some Boots of Striding / Seven League Boots / Boots of the Meteor may come in handy aswell, to run from any monsters you may encounter, and it will speed up navigation a lot.
To mine the ores without upsetting zombie pigmen you'll need a Mining Laser or a Destruction Catalyst / Catalytic Lens. The mining laser doesn't cause explosions, but it can destroy the blocks without yielding an item. The destruction catalyst can mine a bigger area, sometimes mining a whole ore vein before it gets the chance to explode.
Another way to mine the ores is with a Dark Matter Pickaxe, optionally in combination with a destruction catalyst. With the catalyst or with the dark matter pickaxe's mode '3x tall shot', you can make a long corridor. Then you just spam 'r' while walking through it.
