Wood, Stone and Gold pipes can be combined with Redstone Dust to create conductive pipes. These pipes are the only type of pipes that can carry energy produced by Engines to machines that can normally be powered by engines (e.g. Quarries, Mining Wells and Oil Refineries). Energy traveling through Conductive Pipes is displayed as a solid blue line, with varying thickness depending on the amount of energy passing through the pipe. Conductive Pipes can explode if looped.
Wooden Conductive PipeEdit
The Wooden Conductive Pipe is used to extract energy from engines. They will automatically connect to the output side of adjacent engines. If engines are facing the wrong way, simply place the Wooden Conductive Pipe and right click the engine with a Buildcraft Wrench. Stone and Golden Conductive Pipes will not connect to engines.
Stone Conductive PipeEdit
The Stone Conductive Pipe carries energy. To give the energy to a machine, just place the pipe next to the machine. They lose 1% of the energy per block.
Golden Conductive PipeEdit
The Golden Conductive Pipe serves the same function as the Stone Conductive Pipe, except that it loses only 0.01% of the transferred energy per block, making them much better suited for long-distance power transport. They do not need to be powered by a Redstone current.
