Nitor contains information about the ThaumCraft 2 mod. This information may not apply to the later ThaumCraft 3 version.

Fusing together redstone dust and glowstone dust results in Nitor, a seemingly eternal and sourceless flame.

DescriptionEdit

Nitor forms an important part in the creation of Runic Essences (see Seals) and you also need it to create an Arcane Singularity.

It also has an additional strange property - it seems to contain more Vis than went into its creation. Maybe there is a way to harness that?

Nitor is crafted by infusing Redstone Dust with Glowstone Dust:

   

Usage Edit

It can be placed in the world as an everlasting light source, where it appears as a hovering red flame. It provides the same degree of illumination as a regular torch and like torches, it can be effortlessly placed and removed. It can also be placed underwater to create an air pocket.
