The Mining Drill is an electric mining tool. It has the capabilities of an Iron Pickaxe, but faster. It can mine through stone, ores, dirt and sand. It can be charged by a BatPack and a LapPack, or by using a charged RE Battery. It cannot mine obsidian.
You can also turn the Mining Drill into a Diamond Drill which can mine through obsidian.
Crafting the Mining Drill gives you the "Meet the Dentist" achievement.

Notes
- If a charged RE Battery is used instead of a depleted one, the result will be a fully charged Mining Drill.
- If the drill runs out of power, it won't break. Instead, breaking objects with it will take a much longer time.
- If you've equiped a BatPack, or LapPack, this drill and the Diamond Drill will deplete that power source instead.
- The Mining Drill and Diamond Drill are decent at digging through Dirt, Sand, Clay and other soft blocks but is chiefly designed for tunneling through the stone blocks.
