I think that because he made several edits that weren't specifically detailed, though what he edited to the "Dense Copper Plates" was better than the one before him, it still lacks hardly anything related to the thing itself.
I'm going to be frequenting the wiki a little less (don't worry, I've just lost a little bit of drive, I'll probably be back to normal in a month or so), and I probably won't be able to go through the recent changes for vandalism like I normally do. If there's anything you need me to know of right away, go ahead and leave a message on my wall.
lol, this guy has been posting on a ton of message walls, I think he wants up to update Technic but doesn't understand that we are just a wiki and not the modpack makers.
When you mark something for deletion, you do not wipe the entire page, for archive purposes.
Because you wiped the entire page I just undid your edit without thinking too much.
Not only that but you misused the speedydelete template, Speedydelete is for offensive articles or images or just things that are too horrific to stay.
In my eyes it is more comfortable for the user to get the whole information in one place, instead of just finding the crafting recipe and no more info when searching for one specific turtle...
If the separate turtle pages ever get deleted. Someone will probably remake them with zero info or junk info. I would say just keep them, what's the harm?
Hey Felinoel, I just wanted you to know that I will be leaving the Technic Pack wiki for good, and that I will not return.
I have several reasons for this decisions:
1) Even though it was and still is one of the most widely used mod packs, the Technic Pack never had and never will have the support of a large part of the mod developer's community. This has and will continue to hamper the development of the pack.
2) It takes ages for the Technic Pack to update. For example, the jump from 1.1 to 1.2.5 took well over half a year, during which several major updates for both Minecraft and the majority of the mods got released. This is not only very irritating for me as a player, but it also makes documenting the mod features very complicated.
3) I do not have the feeling that we are getting much ahead any longer - there are almost no news about when or how the Technic Pack is going to be developed in the future; and then there is the issue that the vast majority of the people active on this wiki only do so to ask questions, many of which could have been answered by either properly reading the article or looking into the mod thread on the forums.
4) In my opinion, the future for mod packs lies with the Feed the Beast team. Those guys do not only have full support of all major developers (including eloraam from Redpower, SirSengir and Krapht from Forestry, Buildcraft and Logisticspipes, pahimar from Equivalent Exchange, Azanor from Thaumcraft ...), they also get to test unreleased beta versions, which enables them to integrate their launcher much better than the Technic team ever could.
4.1) Because of 4), I applied for a position in the FTB wiki development team some time ago, and I am currently one of the lead contributors in the wiki. Those guys are trying to build one central, giant wiki for documentation of all major mods, and they have full support of the mod developers!
I will still retain my account in this wiki, but I don't see any meaning in contributing to a wiki that is doomed to fall into obscurity eventually. Thank you for your understanding - and cheers ! I enjoyed working with you guys :)
