Iron Furnace contains information about the Industrial Craft mod.

The Iron Furnace is an upgrade of the Vanilla Furnace. The Iron Furnace smelts items faster than a regular furnace, and costs less. Each piece of coal placed in the furnace can smelt 10 items instead of 8 (25% faster and more efficient).

It is also a key ingredient in the Generator recipe, so the player may end up creating large amounts of Iron Furnaces as a crafting material rather than placing and using them.

Despite its machine-like appearance, it is powered by burning materials (e.g coal, wood) and may not be powered with EU from Cables. It can be instead upgraded to an Electric Furnace
