The Alchemy Bag is an item that is part of the Equivalent Exchange mod. It works very much like a portable Alchemical Chest that can be carried around in the inventory. Multiple colours of bags can be crafted. Each color has a unique inventory it is tied to. All inventories are tied to a player, meaning that your alchemy bag inventories are only accessible if the Launcher can log you in. If you are playing in offline mode or the launcher crashes, your Alchemy Bag Inventories will not be available to you.
Different colors of Alchemy Bags
The Talisman of Repair, Gem of Eternal Density, Void Ring, and Black Hole Band all work in Alchemy Bags as if they were Alchemical Chests; that is, the Talisman of Repair repairs tools, the Gem of Eternal Density condenses resources, and the Black Hole Band absorbs items. It should be noted that the Black Hole Band will suck items directly into the Alchemy Bag (most of the time); this can be used to drastically reduce inventory management when combined with a Gem of Eternal Density.
Recipe[]
This recipe gives you a colored Alchemical Bags, of which there are 16 possibilities. The above recipe is for a White Alchemical Bag; for other colors replace the white wool with five wool of the same color. You may also change the color of an existing Alchemy Bag by crafting it with one dye of the desired color.
EMC Value[]
3 x 208 (High Covalence Dust) + 5 x 48 (Wool) + 8,987 (Alchemical Chest) = 9,851 EMC each.
Notes[]
- The Gem of Eternal Density, Void Ring and Black Hole Band will automatically turn on when placed in an Alchemy Bag or Chest.
- The Interdiction Torch does not work from inside the Alchemy Bag.
- Multiple bags of the same color will always open the same inventory.
- Opening a bag and placing it within itself will result in having to craft another bag of the same color to retrieve it.
- It's more dye-efficient to dye the bag after crafting it, which will cost 4 fewer dye than if you were to use colored wool.
Bugs[]
- There is a glitch where if you have a Void Ring or Black Hole Band in an Alchemy Bag, you can Shift-Click an item out numerous times which can duplicate items.
- Placing an Alchemy Bag on a Transmutation Tablet will cause it to dissappear.
