Ferru is a Tier 6 plant that is added with the Industrial Craft mod (Tiers range from 1-8), as part of its agriculture component. It can be bred most easily by cross-breeding Terra Warts or Stickreeds. Ferru is a plant that will produce Small Pile of Iron Dust, two of which can be combined to create one iron dust, which can be smelted into an iron bar. In order for Ferru to bear iron, there must be an Iron Ore block under the dirt it is growing on (Iron Blocks don't work as a substitute).
When cross-breeding two Ferru together, there is a high chance to get Aurelia. However since Aurelia and Coffee are identical to Ferru in its first three growth stages, it is advised to have both an Iron Ore and Gold Ore block underneath the farmland. This will ensure that no matter what the plant is, it will mature.
