All EnderStorage makes use of the magic of Endermen to link storage with its little piece of The END. Any EnderStorage with the same color code share their inventory (even across dimensions). Currently there are two types of storage, EnderChest and EnderPouch. EnderStorage items have only 9 slots (down from the previous 27) and using this mod will disable the vanilla Ender Chests Mojang added to the game. chickenbones reduced the number of slots and blocked the vanilla chest shortly after taking over the project. However, in his own words:

"It's terribly Over Powered to have 3x9 EnderChests, especially with the new per player chests. You get 36864 slots per player with my EnderChests. Your math is a bit out if you think that vanilla ender chests, which provide you with 27 slots per player, albiet in one chest is somehow better."

Ender ChestEdit

Ender Chests are a stationary type of Ender Storage. Each chest can access the same inventory, allowing you to transport items across vast distances instantaneously. It even works between dimensions, i.e. you can access Ender chests both from the Nether and the normal world. Each chest has a code represented by the three wool pads on the top of the chest. Any chests with the same code will be linked. You will need a total of 2 wool, 2 ender pearls, 4 obsidian, 8 blaze rods and 2 chests (16 wooden planks) for a minimum network of two chests.

You can use dye on the wool pads on top of the chest to alter its color code, or through crafting by the second recipe. The color of the wool on top in the original crafting also changes the color. Therefore if you use orange wool instead of white wool, all three colors will be already set to orange.

Ender PouchEdit

Ender Pouches are a mobile type of Ender Storage. You can use an Ender Pouch on any Ender Chest to change the pouch color code to match that of the chest. Ender Pouches access the same inventory as their Ender Chest counterparts, allowing easy access to your base resources right from your inventory.

Crafting Recipe

You can take an Ender Pouch with you mining, and put your loot in it safely as soon as you mine them. This way you can empty your inventory without having to return all the way to your base. Another advantage of this is that you do not lose your loot when you die or fall in lava. The pouch itself might get destroyed, but if you want to access the loot you have put into it earlier, you just have to build and/or open another Ender Pouch with the same color code. Thus, the pouch can be used as a functional, albeit smaller replacement for the Alchemy Bag from the Equivalent Exchange mod.

The Ender Chests can be used to share items between multiple bases. You can store all the mine carts for your railway stations in the one chest and have them accessible from any station. You could have a public food chest, and everyone on the server could access it at the same time. The possibilities are truly ENDless.

The possibilities only increase if you use the chest in conjunction with automation mods like BuildCraft or Redpower. You could have an automatic bread farm that always keeps an EnderChest stocked full of bread for anyone in need of a quick snack on the go.

They also provide a tempting alternative to item teleport pipes, making RedPower devices involving item teleportation significantly more compact. It also eliminates the need for any buildcraft piping and engines.

Ender Chests/Pouches Will not work in different dimentions on SSPEdit

Putting down a Teleport Teather/World Anchor will not solve this because in SSP these items dont work, thats the way Minecraft works.

This may delete/modify your items.

This has been solved by 1.4.6 and should no longer be an issue. They do, indeed, work.
