Crocodiles are hunter creatures (which are aggressive) added by the mod Mo' Creatures.
Crocodiles will spawn in swamp biomes near beaches and will grow over time, similarly to tamed turtles. They must be near water when spawned.
Although a crocodile may appear "asleep", it is still ready to attack. These Crocodiles are very dangerous, and players should be cautious around them. Crocodiles are known to swim fast and walk slowly on land. If disturbed, the crocodile will face the player with its jaws open, indicating it is ready to attack the player.
Crocodiles also have an animation (aka "death roll") where, if caught in the water, will take you to a third-person animation of the crocodile thrashing you around. This is called the "death roll" because it causes the Player to take damage repeatedly, eventually killing you. You can get out of this by hitting the Crocodile with the right mouse button repeatedly. You can get out of the third-person camera afterwards with the F5 button. If a crocodile is aproached when near water, it will pick you up in its jaws and carry you into the water before performing the death roll.
Sometimes a Millenaire villager would get caught in the death roll and thus be doomed to death. It can be quite amusing to watch!
When attacking a crocodile, the best approach is hit-and-run, because otherwise it will catch you.
When killed, they may drop Croc Hides that can be used to craft Croc Armor. The Armors are as follows: Croc Helmet, Croc Plate, Croc Legs, and Croc Boots. *see below
